Tachometer went into red zone slightly, willl I have problems in future?

Hi

I was helping a friend boosting a car which it didn't help the car charge [I am thinking electrical problem, alternator or battery]

While having the car connecting I let my car idle for 5 - 6 mins and it didn't charge properly, so I tried revving the engine a few times and the last time I tried revving it higher it went into the red zone for a 1 mm or 2 mm for a second or less and the car slightly shivered

I was wondering will I have any problems in the future? I have never done this before and this was the first time I ever did it in the past 6 months or so I've owned it.

Thanks,
Mike

No problem, not something you want to do regularly but it won't cause you any problems. The slight shuddering you felt was the rev limiter shutting off fuel.
