2010 corolla xrs Dino

So I recently downloaded the dynolicious app for my iPad and I read a lot of reviews and car n driver, new York times endorse it. Garage 419 has a vid on YouTube testing it. And my best results are 0-60 7.43 seconds. 1/4 mile 15.57 sec @ 94.5 mph. 185 hp. I'm going to try to post the graph pic. I did 4 runs total and the hp was consistently in the 180s and the 1/4 mile times were within a .5 of a second of this one.

185hp...? I don't think so.

What do your mods consist of?

Are there any mods that you did to it?

The stock xrs should only have 158 hp.

^^^^

Not even, if I'm not mistaken, that's advertised as 158hp to the crank.

i set it up so it takes bhp and i have injen cold air intake, and borla catback. i also had sonoco 93 octane. the way you set it up is you enter the weight of the car with occupants and cargo. i had no cargo just me. i got the weight of the car from cars.com research. you can choose to get hp at the wheels by entering 0% power train loss. it recommends for bhp entering between 15-25% drive train loss i entered 15%. since it reads hp at the wheels it adds 15%, so i set it up to add the least amount of hp at the flywheel. i set it up that way because 158hp is what i know stock at the fly wheel is supposed to be.

So you got a custom Borla Catback or you sure you don't have the Borla Axleback?

Anyways, I'd like to see real numbers on a actual dyno

Dynolicious back-calculates the power from seeing the speed and the curb weight of the car (with the driver in it).

The power seems way off and the trap speed of 94 mph is also off for 15.5 secs. If the curb weight with the driver entered by the driver is inaccurate, it will throw off all the calculations, which seems to be the issue here.

It is best to strap it on a real dynonometer and take it to the drag strip to get the most accurate readings.

dragtimes.com has a 2009 xrs 1/4 mile 15.678 sec. at 97.85 mph. and that was stock, is it off a little yes i never said it was perfect but its close. i wouldnt say that it is completly wrong. and again i made sure i informed you its dynolicious an $11 iphone app not a professional dyno or a track timer. dragtimes has a 09 xrs auto 1/4 mile 16.110 sec at 86.81mph but thats auto.

I only found the automatic one, but nothing for manual on dragtimes. Again, just because it was posted on dragtimes, does not make it proof in itself. The only way to validate it is through a video. You can also look through every test conducted by a magazine and you will see the trap speed in the 88 - 89 mph region. I am only trying to make you understand how trap speeds work.

I have more than ample experience in solo 2 and drag strip events. Try actually going to a drag strip and then posting a video. In the real world, you would find it impossible to see a video of a car that on a good run gets 15.7 with a nearly 98 mph trap speed.

97 - 98 mph trap speed is a solid low-14 seconds territory power to weight ratio wise. I am only giving you what factually is possible. It is up to you to believe it or not.

I think we can say "nuff said" to the accuracy of Dynolicious, no matter who endorses/reviews it
