um...honestly im not sure. im not from alabama so i dont know how strict their light restrictions are in the first place
but when i think of it i dont think it would be too much of a problem
cars come stock with white/yellow/amber/and red lights
so maybe 3000k yellow would pass
but safety wise not too sure
definitely less light output than 4300k and problem OEM too.

For a given power, the color temperature should be in 4000-5000K to have the best light output for our headlights. Why do you need 3000K in your headlights?

HID in halogen designed headlights = illegal no matter what we did. Retrofit is illegal too, but we can get away with it because of a good beam pattern. If we use a color temperature of 4000-5000K, our cars will be like HID-OEM.

^^^^ This. Putting HIDs on your car is illegal no matter what. Especially yellow or blue in the head lights, that is illegal everywhere. But it is a matter of enforcement if you'll get in trouble for it.

I just wanted to be different. I'm just tired of seeing other people with blue this and purple that on their vehicle. So, i figured why don't i go with a 3000k instead. Its seems like nobody around here runs 3000k for their headlight. Now i think i know why.

...they do when you pull away into & out of a corner at quite a bit more speed than they can...but that is once again where function is different than form.

Sorry, I don't notice the show work. All I care is performance. There are many times I was driving at night and saw a car with blue headlights. They looked cool to some people, but they blinded me so badly that I wished if there were no car around, I would let him know how I feel when being blinded. (the fact that you don't get flash doesn't mean your headlights are fine. It's because many people don't want to make other drivers blind/confused too, so don't use an excuse "I never get flashed" to tell your headlights are fine). The worst thing was that I barely saw their light on the road, which means their beam was shining to places it was supposed not to be.

I don't care what other people think as much as what I think. IMO the thrill of a RSB far exceeds that of blue headlights any day.
And for the record, my HIR bulbs are 3450k & the light output is excellent.
