Canada Wet Carpets

Hey Folks,

This past summer, whenever I used my AC, the carpets would be wet.

I spoke to Toyota, and they think there is a blockage in the AC drain, most likely due to leaves or something from the road getting into the drain.

Anyways, what do you think? Every time I use my AC the floors are wet, and I see the water leaking from the sides (see the image). Also there are mornings, especially when I make a right hand turn, I can hear all the water running from the right to the left side of my car.

How can I fix this now before it is an issue in the winter, and upcoming summers??

Thanks in advance

Are you still under the 3 year/36,000 mi warranty? If so, take that in to a dealer and have them fix it. That is NOT normal and you definitely shouldn't have to deal with that kind of problem. I've been in Cincinnati for the past two summers (and they've been really hot and humid) and haven't had any leaks or dampness in my car at all (I've got that strange stagnant odor when I first turn on the air, but that's not a big deal). I would take your car in if you're under warranty and tell 'em to fix it. If you're not under warranty, maybe take it in and see what they say.

Sounds like a blockage in the A/C drainage. I had that with two cars.
