Starting to modify "Jesse"

Hi guys. I've been on the thread for awhile and actually look to you guys for modifying my corolla and I've been quietly working on it. So far, its been tint, a K&N filter, HIDs, fogs, trd springs and sways and plasti dip of the tires, rear "diffuser" and sometime this weekend, the roof. I've been thinking about plasti dipping the roof or going vinyl. I'm going with plasti dip right now because I have extra cans, and have been thinking about the matte look. It's also a plus that plasti dip can just peel right off. Will also be getting eyelids for the headlight. I'll post more pictures as soon as I can. Probably tomorrow. Thanks for everything guys. Hope to be of help to someone on here sooner or later. Oh yeah. I drive an '09 LE. Loving it so far. It's zippy. I've taken it to Glendora Mountain Road (if anyone is near by... let me know) and its actually really zippy going up and down... have to admit I'm a little surprised.

The pictures are broken :p

Flickr might not be the best solution for forum pictures, try www.imgur.com

i followed the broken picture link to the pictures, those wheels look great plastidipped!

is that a scratch on your rear bumper?

diffuser looks nice, i want one sooner or later on mine.

Surprfire - unfortunately, yea... that's a scratch... people can't drive in a Walmart parking lot or leave a note. Thanks for the complements.

SuperchargedMR2 - thanks for the headsup on how to post pics here... I think I joined 3 or 4 sites to post pics here...

I'm going post more pics up soon. Especially one of the roof. I really would like more opinions on it. Hopefully it'll turn out for the better. We'll see. Keep you guys posted.

Love the rims, screams for a coloured caliper and vented rotors.

Lesson learned... plast-i-dip doesn't go on everything

So, I plast-i-dipped the roof... lesson learned. Plast-i-dipped doesn't go on everything... Let me know what you guys think... love the concept, just not my implementation... probably end up doing it over with vinyl instead... Also added pics of my K&N SRI, TRD springs and sways.

The plasti-dip is fine but all you had to do was paint over it with the color you wanted.

The car loos decent, all you gotta do is paint the door panels black like in the 09's and add the spoiler! maybe a TRD LOGO?

how did you plasti dip the bottom of your back bumper with out the plasti dip peeling off along with the tape? I tried it a couple of days ago, but failed, cause it had dried onto the tape, so when I was peeling it...

Peel the tape right after you spray before the plasti-dip dries. I do the same thing when painting the trim in my house....tape, paint & peel tape right away for a professional look.

Well guys, I'm done for the weekend... I just redid the roof with another layer or two... its better than it was yesterday. Added the DIY Home Depot front lip.

Thinking about what to do to it next weekend. Might end up plast-i-dipping the side skirts as well, not too sure about it yet. Ultimately, I want to do something to the front of the car, figure out some kind of pattern to paint on the front. I'm going for a black and white theme but I want it to be tasteful. I'm holding off on performance mods until the turbo comes out. Until then, little cosmetic mods are going to be my forte. Thinking about doing the side mirrors this weekend. Have them black instead of white.

Flamedrgn - definitely cleaning the filter next weekend. Gonna hold off on vinyl until I hear back from my friend... he said he can just do it for me for the price of the vinyl, he'll do the labor for free.

|Virus| - Do you have a pic of the '09s the way you described it? With the doors black? Actually thinking of putting a lip and roof spoiler on

Supercharged - I just want to go straight black. Probably going to try a matte black finish next weekend

Corolla_goof - any suggestion on caliper colors? Anyone? Going to do something to the car this weekend.
