New to the 10th gen forum. Taking delivery of a 2011 within the next few weeks, should be a nice upgrade from my 20 yo Corolla. Just wanted a quick opinion. Should I ask to not have the front plate mounted? How hard would it be to secure it with some zip-ties to the lower grill?
I'm sure I could make something within a day or two to mount the plate in the lower grill, the thought of drilling holes into the bumper makes me shudder! I see some people have done this on their cars, any pointers on what to do?
Why you want to relocate it? You think it looks better off to the side or something? If you don't like it, don't use it and run the risk of getting pulled over for it.
the 09-10 bumpers have dimples in them to show where the plate will go. not sure about the '11+
my front plate is held on with zip ties and stainless steel wire. i modified the stock plate holder and drilled a couple holes in it to accept the zip ties and wire.
I fixed the link that was posted up Greg. The other one was incomplete and led to a 404 error. I think we should hear what the OP decides before taking the next step since not everyone is able to tackle DIYs.
