There is no way you will get it down that low not with how fast these cars are moving off the lot. I have heard of some dealers adding to the price because of supply and demand.
If that is a possibility I will try to haggle altough that would mean visiting multiple dealers in order to get the best price out of them. The thought of having to haggle is already giving me headache.

That's the type of news I hate to hear.
So if I want to buy a new Corolla S in the next few weeks, the best I can do is MSRP.
Yeah there is no way you will get it below msrp right now, not for an 09 anyway. There is even less markup on the 09 models than on the previous years.

The Corolla is such a hot car right now, that if you try and haggle the price down, the dealer might say "No thanks, if you won't pay MSRP for it, the next guy through the door will." My Toyota dealer (only 1 in my area, there is another 1 in the state, 350 miles north) sold every Corolla on the lot, 20, in 5 days. Every other one that is already on its way in is on hold.
