Just bought a 2010 toyota corolla LE

Just bought my corolla 2 weeks ago.. love it.. but why am i only avg. 22 MPG city? i thought it was 26 mpg city? it has 30,758 miles.. Has aluminum rims.. and the tires are the original tires. how long will they last before i have to replace them? they look like they have good tread. It was Toyota certified when i bought the car. I thought 2010 had the clock at the bottom of the cd deck?? my clock is built into the dash (where the mpg is).. i hope it is a 2010. the dealer said it was.. color is barcelona red metallic.

Congratulations on the purchase

The Corolla's MPG was rated at 28/35 actually, if you want more of an accurate MPG rating, do it yourself. The MPG reading that shows on the dash is an overall combined MPG for your average.

For your tires, they're good as long as the thread is good lol.

If it is a 2010 model, the clock should be below the HVAC from what I've seen. I know for a fact that all 2009 models clocks are in the gauge cluster.

Hope you have fun with your new ride!

Happy modding

Sounds like OP got a 2009....

And that city MPG seems okay, but it all depends on your driving habits. And if your idle in traffic you're bound to use more gas.

To see what year your car is take the VIN and enter it in Carfax.com, they shows you the basics, year, color, make but it will tell you what year for sure.

Congrats on your purchase. You can also register your car at Toyota owners website and it will give you the service history, if it has been serviced by toyota, as well if there are any outstanding recalls for it.

As I understand it the only difference between an S and the rest of the Corolla line up is the body kit and some handling components. Powertrain wise they are the same. So for me half the fun is putting my own suspension upgrades and my own taste in wheels on the car. I'm thinking about starting off with the TRD front strut brace just for kicks and giggles.

Never! Many of the options I wanted were not available on the LE model.

Couldn't get a 5-speed manual in the LE & no lazy AT for me.

The very first 2010 models still had the clock like the 09's, the change was made early in the 2010 model year.
