Ideas for my car <3

It's been a while since I popped into the forum!
I have a few ideas for my car but I am a total new girl at cars... Im not sure how to do any of this... I am going to check out the DIY section but of coarse I am still extremely timid about doing these things myself.

Here are my ideas:

• Lower my car ( i dont want to cut my springs, I want new springs... any you guys recommend?)
• Change fog lights to yellow and change headlights to that blueish color
• get vvti- decal on door side (im feeling the right side of my car would look best but im not sure!)
• get window tint (20% im still looking)
• get a sound system installed and hopefully get a gps hooked up
• get rear window visor
• change front lip of my car to one that is single pieced so its not that half and half stock one
• possibly eyelids

So far those are the ideas I have... the main thing im looking for is possibly a few suggestions on parts (im not really feeling ebay unless they have a good rep) and even a few suggestions on other things I could do with my car!

haha yeah im pretty sure the guys put them on both sides

springs- it all depends on what kind of ride you want comfort/performance wise.

if you want the "no wheel gap" look then get 9thgen TEIN stechs.
ebay sells the brands but you gotta be sure to get them from a reputable ebay seller.

easiest way for yellow fog lights is yellow tint
blueish headlights is 6000/8000k HID kit (dont worry what anyone says...its your car)

and the other guys can chime in for the front lip and rear roof spoiler

@jckss So just get yellow vinyl and put it over the fog lights?
I want the car lowered but not scrape ... i would like it to have good performance so that I could drive around and go with my car (you know, not lose control) I will go and check out the 9th gen section...

I was actually wondering how you got the eyelids on your car? I like the look but im not sure if i would like to do that yet

The only other things that I would add would be the trd front strut bar & the ultra racing rear strut bar to stiffen the chassis a little.

I have 8000K for my headlights and PIAA yellow fogs which is equivalent to 3500K if you're running HID's. As for springs, I have the TRD and its the least drop of all but I never had to worry about pulling up to curbs or speed bumps.

Really depends on how much you want to spend. I run Xenetec on my Corolla and my Audi. Works just as good as more expensive brands for $35-37 a set. I drive with them on all the time (day and night) for the last 16K miles with no problem (slight flickering when the lights are on but the car off) and the Audi about 20K miles. I got them off of eBay. While you are at it, might as well order a set of HID for the fogs too at 3500K temp. Good luck!

-Eibach pro kit for springs
-yellow vinyl or yellow bulbs
-both sides with vvt-i decals would look good
-i got my refurbished Rosen headunit on ebay for $240. gps, bluetooth, dvd etc.
-most people get k-style lip from ebay
-you can use carbon fiber or any other vinyl for your eyelids. thats what i did.
- and for lights.. if you want a proper hid setup look for a HID retrofit if not then just get 5000k or 6000k from www.ddmtuning.com comes with lifetime warranty.

Get a full ceramic tint film like Formula One Pinnacle to ensure that it doesn't interfere with your GPS signal reception

Here are my recommendations from what you said you wanted.
Eibach springs
Noyka hyper yellow fog light bulbs, don't use vinyl covers
VVT-i decals on both sides, I love mine!
Window tint in a must, get ceramic tint.
I love my Rosen HU, GPS, DVD, CD, BT, etc.
I love my rear window spoiler/visor.
I also agree with the one piece front lip.
I like the eyelids too, just never have done them.

@crawrolla: This is gonna be funny to ask but... 8000k? 3500k temp? what does this mean? light bulb temperature?

@xangelox15: So with your eyelids you just shaped them to fit? What about for color? since my rolla is black 209 would I paint it to match or just get any good ol black vinyl or carb. fiber?

@PhatRoyale: I had no idea that tint could actually interfere with my GPS! good to know. I will def. look into ceramic as my choice.

@SuperchargedMR2: Thanks for the welcome! Where did you get your decals? I am looking around here but no luck... and I don't even know how much they should be costing... The only thing im really worried about is I need to either find someone who can change my lights for me (including the fogs) or have to learn how to do it myself without butchering my car.


on a sad sad note: my car got a paint chip right on the hood. I touched it up but im sure you guys know... its just not the same. It just sucks because I keep up with my car... polish it, wax it, detail it... and then this happens

Yep, bulb temp/color.

Types of bulb:

Low beam: 9006
High beam: 9007
Fogs: ? I forgot

You can use www.sylvania.com to find out about bulbs.
