I want BOTH the navigation and good stereo..

Is the fact that you can't have both just because they are not offered together by toyota, or is it an actual technical limitation, that the navigation system and cool stereo setup both require some common part of the vehicle so you have to choose one or the other?

That common part would be the head unit in the dash.

When I purchased my '03 XRS, I got the 6-player CD and GPS navigation together in one unit. Don't know why it would be different six years later.

Just get a stand alone portable GPS. You can get a Garmin or a Magellan for under $200 now. Best thing about it is you can take it out of your car and put it in another and you can even walk around with it.
