breaking in a new Matrix

just got a 2009 Matrix XR Sundance , any way to break it in ? any pecial precautions etc, I have not drove past 100 Km/h yet. has 498 Km

vary the speed, don't use the cruise control for the first 1000 clicks. Nice colour!

The newer manufactured engines are typically good to go out of the box, the owners manual should have recommendations on engine break in.

Suggest not lugging the engine, exercise the engine but don't go racing. Don't sit in stop and go traffic for hours. A combo of city and hwy driving varying the RPM (within reason and safety) for say 500 miles should work fine.
