Fog light kit

I just bought a Toyota matrix from a local dealer in Edmonton, Alberta. I bought an 09 Black Matrix AWD XR version and it does not come with fog lights. I asked the dealership on the cost and they quoted me total: $1200 Canadian (charged for each single part). If there is a fog light kit and panel kit that would mount in the light well that is covered by the black panels on the bottom of the front bumper. I tried looking on the web and there is no product besides the standard universal fog light kit. Anyone who lives in Edmonton or Calgary knows which aftermarket shop to deal with that might have the kits. Thanks.

I doubt you'll find anything made yet to fit. A shop might be able to fabricate something for you that would end up being better then the stock, performance wise, anyways. Toyota has traditionally been as bad as Honda for pricey fog light additions to their cars and trucks. Eventually aftermarket parts will be available. The 1st gen fogs are available on ebay.

most likely the first gen fogs won't fit the 2nd gen.....but TRXR4KDS sz wait few more months im pretty sure it will be available....i haven't seen a yellow fogs just yet....but im pretty sure they'll make one for your gen...

I just did a search on Ebay and found these:

You would still have to find the housing that fits them since the one on the Matrix with no factory fog lamps have no hole. I guess you could cut the hole yourself but it probably wouldn't look as nice. I wonder where we could find those plastic inserts.

It's crazy that they charged you for every you want!
Remember the good old days when you could get something for nothing?
I'd never go back. In fact I'd go live in a hole.
