Dunno man......I ordered a trd air filter for my 1.8l today at the dealer. Are you looking at the trd website or the dealer portal? trdsparks seems to be pretty updated and on the ball, not that I have ever bought from them.

re: what's up with TRD

After 4 months of back and forth with different TRD outsources, I finally got the heads up with the 09 Matrix XRS and AWD lowering springs. They are in indefinite hold and the reason being low profitability during these slow economic times. The TRD tech I spoke with admitted the PTR40-12090 springs that were in preproduction may not come out any time this year if at all. The new double wishbone rear needed a whole new redesign for the springs that because of the small market of XRS and AWD owners wanting to lower their cars it doesn't warrant a new line of springs. It seems TRD has put other projects on hold and who knows when that'll change.

Just use the Eibach ProKIts for the 03-08 Matrix, it'll lower your car about 2" - 2 1/2".

eibach pro kit

I would like to use the pro kit but I'm worried about long term problems with it not being made for the double wishbone rear. I might just do it anyways. Still checking with some friends in the biz.

I thought that the Eibach Sportline's were what gave you the 2"-2 1/2" drop. I've been considering the S Tech's but I'm concerned with bottoming out, killing struts, etc. But, i want the car to look lowered.

I can get the ProKits for my `08 but they don't make the Sportline's for the `08 from what I can tell.

Can you guys enlighten me?

^TRXR4KDS was referring to using the ProKits for the 2009-2010 Matrix. It gives a larger drop on those. The same springs give only a 1.2 inch drop on the 03-08 Matrix.

The Sportlines give a 1.8/2.1 drop on the 03-08. Yes they will fit your car. They DONT fit the 2009-2010 matrix because the drop is too big.

Similarly, the Tein HTechs give a 3 inch drop on the 2009-2010, but 1.6 inch on the 03-08. The STechs are too low for 2009-2010, but give a 2.3 inch drop on the 03-08.

Personally i prefer the Sportlines to the S-Techs. You can also look for Progress springs, which give a similar drop.
