magnaflow exhaust

Hey ladies and gents! I've taken a big risk this evening, I have purchased the Magnaflow catback exhaust for the matrix! I have yet to hear a sound clip or even see what it looks like but rest assure I will post pics and if I somehow manage to work the transfering of the film to computer I'll youtube a clip with the sound of the car and everything. I'm so excited I hope it wont sound like crap!

Updates due to follow after product arrives and installed so keep this tread in mind if you guys are interested!

Awesome! I didnt know they had a kit available for the 09's yet. I like how it looks stock. Im sure it will sound good, every magnalow I heard (including the ones on my old Accord) sounds good. Not too loud and annoying. I have been listening to TC's to see how it will sound, it must be close to the same. Cant wait to hear the clips!

Hey Wholemilk, I see you're in Boston. There's a big Matrix meet there the weekend of Oct. 24-26. You should join us, about 30-35 Matrix owners signed up so far. There's one 09 XRS from Toronto coming. Check it out at MO.

UPDATE:

Time for some updates. Its ALL bad news, the exhaust does not fit! they say it fits the S/XRS models but the XRS comes in independent rear suspension so that means the exhaust piping is different. so i've emailed the company and i'm not paying the shipping fee back because its not my fault the exhaust doesnt fit its not like i didn't want it. so i'm waiting on them now and hopefully they wont be buttholes and be cooperative.

yea me too dpanda88

they sent me a reply telling me to talk to magnaflow directly....i freaking did that before i emailed them! so as of right now i'm running around in circles. they didnt even bother saying "sure we can refund you" or "yes we can send you another exhaust" or anything remotely helpful, just "contact magnaflow directly for installation questions" BS, not a happy camper right now. i sent the place a reply email telling them i already did and that the XRS and S have different rear suspension and that may be why its not fitting. so i will have to wait till tmr for an answer grrrrr.

Yeah, tell them you work for Toyota and are a respected member of TN and word will be spreading about their false advertising and shoddy customer service. Everyone else was waiting to see how it turned out before buying their own Magnaflow, not now with this crock of ****

Don't turn into the butthole you don't want them to be. First contact Magnaflow and explain how the vendor is treating you and preferably get something from them saying it doesn't fit the xrs. Then calmly explain to the vendor that they shipped you the wrong part and you are not financially responsible for their mistake.

They owe you your money back and *they* need to pay to have the part shipped back. If they won't refund your entire purchase price and pay for return shipping, tell them that you'll take this up with your cc company and you're not going to to ship it back until they are ready to pay for the return shipping.

Your cc company should see it your way.

i calmed down today and sent them an email and they said they are going to get an RMA from magnaflow and contact me about it once they do. I have no idea what a RMA is or what it does but if it fixes my problem i have no complaints. so right now i have to do the waiting game.

An RMA is a Return Materials Authorization number. You label it on your return packaging so when they receive the box with the returned item, they know why you're sending it back by looking it up in their database.

Giving you an RMA basically means they're going to take it back. Still up in the air as to who they are expecting to pay shipping. Some places (like Amazon) will prepay the postage and give you a UPS (or whoever they use) shipping label to print out and put on the box.
