09 Matrix debadge question

Hello everyone. Getting ready to debadge my XRS, but was wondering if anyone else has. I wanted to know if the emblems in the back were pegged or just taped on before I get to it. Any info would be great.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the Matrix, XRS and Toyota are NOT pegged but the oval T emblem is.That's how they are on the 03-08 and the badges are identical in font and size and shape. The oval is bigger and they are usually pegged to make sure they are exactly straight when done in the factory by the robot.

Thanks man. That's what I was thinking, but just wanted to make sure. Do you think I need a special adhesive remover for the left over residue or should i just use goo gone, and wax etc?

Thanks again

use a hair dryer, heat up the emblem(s) and peel away. all it is, is double sided tape. if any tape sticks on the car after the inital peel just heat the tape up and remove it. no special tool or method to get that stuff off.

I did mine you can check it out at www.cardomain.com/id/Sundance_XR. I just used fishing line. It broke alot and took some time but just work at it back and forth and it will come off. I used goo-gone for the adhesive left behind. The XRS badge is going to have alot of glue behind it. The "T" on the rear and front are pegged like mentioned above.
