If anyone's interested, I found a very nice clamp-on stainless exhaust tip at Advance Auto for less than $15. A breeze to put on, and takes about a minute.

I think it's fair to say that we find your claim hard to believe without photographic evidence. Post a pic of this mysterious exhaust tip installed on your 'Trix in an effort to gain credibility.

Thanks!

You're being a little harsh on me, don't you think PlatinumVibe08? I'm simply trying to pass along some info that may be of interest to some Matrix owners. For those that have access to an Advance Auto store, they can see for themselves whether the exhaust extension is right for them. I'm not truly interested in gaining credibility, however when the weather clears up, and I can get my Matrix into some good light, I will take and post a couple of pics.

don't take it the wrong way, i'm pretty sure platinumvibe08 wasn't trying to be harsh...it's just forum talk sorta lol cuz with the " " at the end it doesn't really mean any hard feelings and stuff...more of a friendly gesture kinda lol

Absolutely not. It was intended as a friendly poke with a stick. There's a saying that's tossed around often on the GenVibe forum that says basically, "Without pics, it never happened."

Now, when the weather clears up, the lighting is adequate and the stars and planets align, take those pics and get 'em posted. Dang, I did it again. I can be a bit of a sarcastic arse.

I think it looks pretty good. I have the same one on my wife's Camry. Bought it at Walmart for around 13 bucks. It's a nice, inexpensive way to dress up your ride and very easy to install.

Thanks for the pics.

OK, pics are available at:

//cid-d6edaecb6ab1ab8d.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Matrix (preceded by "http:")

I don't know why but the URL gets screwed up when it begins with "http:". I'll have to figure that out later. Also, need to determine why I can't simply attach a photo.

thanks lol, the old stock exhaust pipe annoyed me a bunch. so i went along and bought me one of those truck exhaust tips. made me feel a lot better knowing i have at least a 3" outlet in the back less than 15 bucks for something that makes a big difference in the back!

it might be tip, or just me but i think the tip made the exhaust sound a tiny bit deeper. i like it =D its not noticeable unless you're in the back.. heres a youtube videos :::

my awkward revving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t6op...eature=related

my friend revving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDq9_...eature=related

sounds the same inside the car though.
