Angry Is It Just ME?

Is it just me or is anyone else having some issues with their 09' matrix?

Problem #1: my fog lights stopped working. I doubt its the bulbs because they both quit at the same time. its not the fuses, as I've checked them both. hmmmm...

Problem #2: I opened my hood today and I find that there is corrosion on the batt at the hold down and the positive terminal... WTF?

Problem #3: the pinch protection on the driverside rear window puts the window down when I shut off the car for no apparent reason at all. Not every time, but every now & again.

sooo, any ideas? anyone else or am I the lucky one?

funny enough, I Haven't had the problem with the interior door trim... yet. lol

Mild battery acid leak from terminal is not uncommon usually happen in warm environment, like temperature 20+ degrees . If severe acid build up then you might need to complain and get replace with a new one form your bumper to bumper warranty.

I am wondering did your fog light lens got cracked and water get in from your last accident 7 -8 month ago that make the light bulb burn out? usually head light/fog light bulb burn out after 2+ years.

Rear window issue, is your glass slide properly or something roll off the track? check the water strips for debits.

Maybe the battery thing is caused a fault in the fog light circuit.

Sudden impacts maybe like the one you had a while back might have damaged the battery, or maybe you play your stereo too loud and putting extra load on the battery lol

If it isn't the fuses or bulbs it might point to a relay or short in the wiring.

I imagine a trip to the dealer would be in order or swing by autozone get them to read the OBDII and see if there's any error codes

ok so i took my car in for its service and i asked them to check everything out.

they said the only problem with the fog lights was the fact that the wires came uncliped..
the accident had nothing to do whith that. that was back in april last year. i started having problems in the last 2 months.

they also replace the batt. couldnt tell me why it happend tho..

the driverside window.. they just reset the operations for it.

and everything is working now, so its all good.
we just detailed the interior and exterior of the car today, a nice compound and wax.
were also starting a few painting mods.

i had checked that also. but my got in my car today and just without thinking i went to put my windows down like always. and halfway out the neighborhood i start to think about it... AND MY WINDOWS ARE DOWN!!
im thinking since it rained, something went wrong. i know there are a few cars that have that problem, not necesarally ours.
but the problem went away, they work now. but if it rains again and they dont work. ill figure on that being the cause of it, and take it to the dealer for a fix.

I had similar thing in my old VW golf mk4 - overnight all of my windows would suddenly go down, the car was sitting outiside in freezing rain. Turned out to be a bad driver side module that was shorting out and making all the windows open.
