Cool rims for my 09 matrix

Hi, I have a base model of 09 matrix. And I have those hubcabs wheels on it =16s= to be exact and I'm planning on getting an after market rims and tires ...anyways long story short....
I know the biggest rims I could put in there is 18's but I was just wondering if I could put a wider rims/tires on the car I'm looking @ rims right now and I found some rims that is 18x7.5 wheels, offset is 5x100 and the tires are 215/35/18 I was wondering if I could put atleast a little wider than those... is this the widest rims/tires I could on the car.... and is it a good idea to put 18's or I should just go for 17's..... will someone let me know ASAP
Greatly appreciated if someone reply on this forum thanks.

You should be OK with those rims. 5 x 100 is the correct bolt pattern. Offset is what makes the wheel sit inwards or outwards depending on the number. OEM's are around 45 offset I believe, 8" rim with 35 offset is probably about the widest and largest you could go without issues for sure. You'll also want to lower the car somewhat or the overall look with the aftermarket rims will be somewhat disappointing. Good luck.

Unless you have the 1.8L engine then it's 5x100

The original poster said he had a base model, so 5 x 100 is the correct pattern. The XR (S in the US) and XRS have a 5 x 114 pattern.

actually... the biggest you could go and still look decent is 19's. that and an 1 1/4 inch drop.... perrrfect. fills the wheel gap nicely.
we've got a set of OZ Superlageras that we are going to do. but the offset is 5x100 so were going to get an adapter.

have you looked at the stock rims for the TC? there a 5x100

I just purchased some Enkei 16" Alloys for my base model. Can't wait to get them on.

Here they are:

Have been told that the older style springs will not work on the AWD model if they do for sure, then I will order some today.
