Blacked out my rear bumper

I have the base 09 Trix & was thinking of ways to make it a little more sporty. I decides to paint the lower section of the rear bumper satin black, remove the badges of the hatch & paint the T emblem black. It looks much better i think & Toyota should have made them all this way. I have had many compliments so far.

Did you paint it yourself or have someone else do it?

im doing the same thing, but i started on the other end of the car first. its been over a month since ive been able to continue on it because of my work schedule as of late.
ive always loved the black and silver. so i started on the grills, then i was working on the rear bumper. Thats cool that someone else has thought of the same thing!

im going to paint the bottom grill and the pieces around the fog lights silver also. then move to the rear bumper and do the same.

Very cool idea with the silver! You will be the only one like it so far (until someone else sees this & likes the idea. Then next thing ya know it will be done on alot of cars LOL. Great idea. Keep posting pics of the progress.

yeah. i really like how it turned out. my boyfriend had an R32 and now he has a MK3 Jetta, and did the same thing. it looked good so i went with it.

only problem is i'm trying to figure out how to get the grills around the fogs and the bottom grill to come off without taking off the entire front pannel...

i think the whole bumper's gonna have to come off to take the fog light shrouds off. i wish i had a pdf copy of a service manual, it would be so much easier to work on the 09's.
