Sun visors are *too* small - Ugh

Hello all. Just got my '09 Matrix this week. It's the base model but has the rear wiper, door sill pads, door edging and such. I'll be getting some tint work done soon. I just love this little car! I drove a pick-up for nearly 20 years.

Anyway. I've noticed that the sun visors are so very small. They don't help much when folded down to the front windshield. And when you turn them to the side... a big old *Meh* The spot that they fold up into is just big enough to fit them, so some sort of aftermarket larger visors wouldn't work. I'm a pale skinned redhead and would like to do what I can to keep the sun off of me and outta my eyes. After a few days of driving around, I'm about ready to grab some office binder clips and a manilla folder to pin up there.

Anyone have any ideas of what I might be able to do to provide myself more coverage... and yet be keeping it legal for California?

Never had a problem with mine, but I never use them to the side though.

Someone should invent a visor extender, or maybe they already have?

My 05 Matrix has extendable visors. Try pulling them out and see what happens. I never knew about it until someone on the forums mentioned it.
