2nd Generation K&N Typhoon Kit

A quick question from the resident n00b. After noticing the shocking under-the-hood similarities between an '09 'Rolla and '09 'Trix, I began to wonder if intake kits for the Corolla will fit a Matrix? Such as: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...rod=69-8757TTK. I'd love to get rid of the plastic spaghetti that Toyota calls an intake.

Excellent chance that they are interchangeable. Lots of Corollas are running intakes intended for a Matrix and vice versa. Mounting brackets many not be exactly where they should be, but most can get it to work out in the end.

So long as it's for a 2009 Corolla XRS, then yes. I use one myself. Its a K&N Typhoon intake system, the same one on K&N's page, which was originally for the '08 Scion (Xb model), I think?

Get the intake. It makes the engine roar and sound WAY better. Not to mention a nice little boost in power, especially at high RPM's.
