Like one hour ago, I had to drop something off at the postal store, and parked next to a white 09 Matrix XRS (I drive a 2009 Corolla XRS), with what looks like to be a barcode on the rear side window. I was surprised that this one was a rental, since i saw a bunch of luggage in the back.

I guess Toyota sold a few of them to Enterprise? I also noticed that the car was pretty basic, with no JBL stereo/BT and no sunroof (My XRS has them), which is pretty much indicative of most rental cars.

yea, my friend got into a car accident and got a rental car for like a day or something.. he told me he drove the xrs.. and noted it was a lot faster than my base model

I thought all Matrix XRS' come with a sunroof and JBL. Hmm maybe thats just in Canada. Either way that pritty crazy they have anything above the base trim for a rental car.

The JBL and sunroof are optional in the US. However, most of the XRSs on the dealer lots (if you can still find them) seem to be equipped with the JBL and sunroof, since it is the top of the line model.
