Canada 15" steel wheels

I can get my hands on a set of 15" steel wheels 5x114.3 Will these clear the calipers on a matrix xrs or S?

Also, if they fit, what tire size would be appropriate? Would 195/65/15 work?

Thanks

They won't clear the brakes. Period. 16 is as low as you can go.

Are you sure about that?

The guy at my Toyota dealership behind the service desk just recommended (as in today) that I go with 195/65R15 winter tires on my 2010 Matrix.

Hmmm... I guess you are right. I'm surprised that someone at Toyota would screw that up. He was kind of young. Must have been thinking I said a Corolla.

If he makes 15's fit on a 2010 Trix I'll cut my left testicle off and let you hang it from your rear bumper.

It's okay, you can keep your testicle :P
Go get it done then, and come back and post here with photos when it's done. Morons never exist at car dealerships :P

15" will fit on a 1.8L Matrix, on the 2.4L Matrix, 16" is the smallest you can go. I have confirmed this.

For 2.4L calipers, knuckles are the same as Rav4. So that why you cannot fit it on 15".

for full range of Corolla , Trix basic and Vibe 1.8 can use 15 inches no problem

so it's yes and no. I vote the testicle needs cutting and hanging from the bumper. 15" on a base trix is news to me also, but I was smarter and didn't bet a testicle on it.

So if I have an 05 rolla xrs, that means I can use 15" steel wheels for my winter set up? found out yesterday that 14" 5x100 will not fit.
