Canada protect interior plastic?

Hey everyone,

I just ordered a 2010 matrix touring edition to replace my 2007 yaris. My dog with be in the back and i'm trying to think of a way to protect the plastic interior from his nails. I am most concerned with the areas right under the windows. Does anyone know of a clear vinyl that can be removed down the road without leaving a huge amount of residue?

any other ideas would also be appreciated,

Thanks Rick

Rick,

The clear 3M Stone Guard product might work. It is designed to protect smooth exterior paint from chips and scratches.

Not sure though, if it will work well on the pebble grained plastic in the Matrix.

P.S. Plastics like those used on car interiors typically outgas a chemical that can make adhesion a problem. It's that same chemical that often makes a hazy film on the inside of your windows.
