If someone has one of these vehicles (as in my case, I just owned a TOYOTA CAMRY 2010 LE) , what should we do? Please advice me.

The big recall

When my buddy called me after he heard on the news that Toyota is recalling 5 models of their Toyota line and the Matrix was one of them I called my dealership right away.
What they said was this: They asked me if I was experiencing any problems with the accelerator pedal - answer - NO. I was not having any problems with the accelerator pedal sticking. So they said that unless the get the actual bulletin that says to bring the car in regardless of problems or not then just to wait and see if I do have any problems. I guess what that means is I'll have to wait for the pedal to stick and ram into some object totaling my front end and wrecking the shit out of it - then take the car in for the refit/fix of the pedal. Hmmm...makes you wonder.
I did have one other quirky problem about a month ago: I took my car in to get washed and when they were drying it off the rear passenger door exterior handle came off in the attendant's hands. Just like that...came off without any breaks, cracks or any sign of damage.
I called Toyota right away and took it in. It turned out that during manufacturing a screw was not screwed in - directly from the factory. Once again...quality assurance?? Getting a bit sloppy or is Toyota conforming to North American standards? I wonder. Competition a bit too lax? Watch out Toyota.
Can't survive on the maintenance records alone. Toyota needs to maintain their high standards of "fit and finish" if they want to stay no. 1.

its gotta be some kind of cover up because i had the accellerator problems in March 2009. It would happen intermittently when i slowed down just as i stopped it would speed forward. Took it to one Toyota location they advised no updates for the computer. Took it to another location and they had the update for the computer. I asked them why the other dealership did not have it . They advised they dont believe all the computers have the problem , but thier dealership had some complaints and toyota dealt with them directly on it . I asked why dont they issue a recall and they said only if enough cars reported problems. Can you imagine .. Then many people died after that. I dont know what is going on with Toyota But they are playing some bizarre cover games. I have the receipt that says update to the computer and reported problem suddenly acceralates when coming to a stop. I cant understand why Toyota is saying they know of no problem with the computer because there is and they fixed mine . mind you I am left with another problem sometimes wont accelerate suddenly when i need to . RPMS go up then a jerk forward. They advise they cannot duplicate the issue on testing. Really strange. Anyway this will all come out later, and i think Toyota going to be in some deep dodo . Be interesting to see how all this resolves as there are probably many Toyotas out there that may be a death machine.

As i posted before. your computer problem has to be the source. Why would a stuck pedal cause accelaration? It would only stay at the current speed. How hard would it be to put glitches in the chips? Maybe GM sabotage. As for Quality assurance you are aware that a lot of the matrixes are made in Canada and the US.
