Canada Rattle/squeak issue resolved

Devoloped a clicking/rattle/squeak up in the dash/windshield area when hitting little bumps, then all the time. From my investigation, I thought it was coming from the cowling under the wiper blades. It was loose and made noise when wiggled around. Took it to dealer. They seemed to know the problem. As I suspected. Fixed it with foam tape. I was told that the foam was missing on some cars from the factory. Cowling is now solid and firmly in place.
They also did the gas peddle fix while it was in.

Good to know. I used to get this sound when it was really cold last winter, but I don't recall hearing it this winter!

I have the exact same problem. It used to get worse the colder it was but now happens all the time. I'll have them look at it when I take it in for the recall.

I also had a constant rattle coming from the interior light console thingy above the rear view mirror but they fixed that.

Thanks for the info Jimmie Boy.

Yes, it started with the cold weather this year. I didn't have this car last winter. If you open the hood and and wiggle the cowling under the wipers around, you will hear the same noise.
Glad I was of some help.
