I hate it when someone uses the terminology "system." Especially when they most likely mean just an amp with a sub.

Not sure what kind of help you're asking for. I have the JBL 9 speaker with an amp stock system. I decided to upgrade the sub but found out the well holding the stock sub didn't have enough space for the 10 inch kicker. Also the stock amp couldn't support the new woofer so I ended up buying a new amp and putting the kicker in a fully enclosed box. I had to drop all the settings to either all the way low to come close to matching the stock tweeters and other speakers. I should have waited and upgraded all the speakers and amp at one time.

I think checking the stickeys at the top of the Audio section would be a good place to start. Hard to help when you don't know what you have in mind.
