Canada Bluetooth Problems in 2011 Matrix S

Hi Folks,

I'm looking to find out if anyone else has been having trouble with the bluetooth in the 2011 Matrix? I'm pairing it with a Blackberry Torch 9800 and everything works fine, however people have a really hard time hearing me on the calls (and i'm not talking low ). Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks
Kim

Kim,

It depends if your Bluetooth is built into the stereo headunit or was installed with a separate activation button and microphone on your dashboard (like mine).

You may have to speak closer to the microphone. My separate microphone was mounted behind the steering wheel which is perhaps not the best location. With the headunit controled bluetooth, the mike could be in the headunit, or above your rearview mirror.

On the Bluetooth with separate button, you should have small up-down volume controls above and below the main button which you should be able to adjust during the call.

The other thing I noticed is that the Toyota bluetooth is really just a connection to your phone and it actually uses the voice recognition software within the phone itself...so issues such as that could need to be adjusted within the phone.
