With Scion it wont matter what time you buy the car. Sometimes if you buy one at the end of the model year you can get "Prizes" for buying one but because of pure price, there is never ANY discount offered on the model. if you find a dealer who is offering a cash incentive then they are breaking the Scion Covenant and better hope they don't get caught because they could lose the license to sell the brand.
