Thanks again, the magazine arrived about an hour ago. Quindlin was
interesting on the Administration's hubris in thinking it was omnipotent in
domestic and foreign matters. Americans don't seem to tolerate political
extremes for long, going back to John Adams and the Alien and Sedition Acts
and their short life span as example #1.
Her Quotes from FDR and George W's Philosophical shakiness might make for a
radical change in George W's political orientation these last two years. Be
interesting to see what Dad--er, I mean the Baker Commission has to say to
him. I notice he has scheduled a meeting w/ Maliki for 11/299/06 ?
