How to keep leather interior clean?

Picked up my Venza yesterday. I think is this car was a female human being, I would have a crush on her!!! Love the car. And I absolutely love the Sunset Bronze colour....better than what I had expected.

Question: how do I keep my Ivory coloured leather interior clean? What kind of products does everyone use on shoe marks, coffee spils....or just plain dirt on leather seats? Is there a particular product out there that:

1. protects the leather so that any marks come off easily
2. helps in cleaning any kinds of marks on leather.

Any help will be helpful.

Cheers.

Congratulations on your new Venza!

Just throwing this out to you, but you should search the Detailing & Car Care forum for threads about leather cleaning. There have been some good ones in there worth looking at.

Hi kmawani,
I never did see a Venza in the Sunset Bronze here in Florida . ( STILL haven't).
It was one of the colors I was interested in , but I wanted to see it first.

The interior is very easy to clean , I also have ivory int. and was surprised how fast the seats and the plastic panels cleaned up.
I use Turtle Wax Ice Total Interior Care and a micofiber cloth.
Shoe scuffs wipe away.
I'm glad you enjoy your Venza as much as I do.
Happy Driving

Having to clean shoe marks is almost acceptable. There is no reason for just plain dirt to get on a seat and for no reason coffee spills should be possible in a Venza with ivory seats. Change your habits or trade her in on a Honda!

I just loved the Sunset Bronze. I really struggled with the choosing between it and the Blizzard Pearl. It was just time for me to get a lighter color.

You know I was kidding about the changing of habits? But seriously, be carefull with that coffee.

Randy

I would hope that cleaning the seats with a good cleaner / material treater / preservative before the spill would give you a bit more time to cleanup after the spill (before it really sets). That's what I am counting on anyway!

TrailDust....thanks for the hint. I will certainly check out that thread.

Also, thanks everyone for your replies. I have never had leather seating before and being in one now....its just too beautiful. So I want to make sure I preserve it for as long as I can. A friend at work told me that cleaning leather....or getting the marks off of leather....is much easier than fabric. That was good to hear.

RAV4.2.Venza.....you had me going with your comments there for a second. lol Yup....gonna try to limit my coffee intake in the car.

The Sunset Bronze bronze is a beautiful colour. Everyone who has seen my car absolutely loves the colour. I had seen a couple of Muranos with that colour and wanted that colour for the Venza but wasn't sure what the colour was called. The toyota.ca website did not really do any justice to the colour.....but on the website, it was the closest colour to the Murano that I had seen. When I went to pick up my car, I almost jumped with joy when I noticed that the Sunset Bronze was the same (or almost) as the one on the Murano.

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions/tips on keeping the interior clean.

Best way to keep light leather clean is to keep it clean from day one and to not wear new dark-wash jeans if at all possible.
