Well...there was a manual tranny made for this exact engine, and I believe its M/T (manual transmission of course, duh) A140E, and A140L....there are two labels on the drivers side door jam, on the door itself..that tell in the coding what Transmission you have..it will say a140E or not..but anyway I think you can just find a manual a140E...i'm going off a guess here, based on the fact that I know there was a manual transmission made with this engine....
I have an automatic A140E with a 3sfe engine, and I will be switching the engine out to a 3sgte..(i hope, if it's feasible enough)....I just know the manual tranny is more likely to handle the power output from the 3sgte when i put it in...and i've heard the a140e would actually bolt right to the 3sgte

OH YEAH the A140L was mostly if not all found on the gen 1 camrys...the a140E is the Electric governor transmission....important when doing wiring and such
