USA 02 Avalon - Noise from belt

I have 2002 Avalon XLS. It has 66000miles on it.

I hear noise from the belt or generator every morning when I start the engine. However, after driving 15 minutes, the noise disappears. To me, the sound needs lubrication...kinda sqeaking sound when the belt is rotating. However, I can't find the source of the noise, but near generator. I maybe wrong.

When I took it to a dealer, the sound disappered. So I could not show/prove the problem. However, they said based on my description that the belt might need adjustment.

Could you kindly advise what the promblem is.

Thanks in advance!

I agree with them. Most drive belt noise is normally cause by old belts or worn idler pully's.Definetly replace your belt first and see if the noise goes away.
