Canada Where to put the DVD player?

I've got this 1995 Avalon, aka "The Sludgemobile".

I bought a small DVD player, 1-DIN size. I'll connect it to the car's original equipment TV monitor, which has auxiliary video and audio inputs.

The problem is, where can I mount the DVD player? The two radio slots are already occupied by the radio and monitor. I thought maybe I could remove the ash tray and put the DVD player in that space, but there isn't enough clearance behind it.

Has anybody put a DVD player in an Avalon? Where? Under the seat? In the trunk? Under the dash like an old 8-track deck from the 70's?

my best guess would be underneath the passenger seat. Running wires to it would be no problem from there. The glovebox is too small for it to fit. The trnk is a good location to, especially where teh factory 6 cd changer goes (in the left side of the trunk) I caution though because with my avalon, the trunk seeps water in there. You can always hook it up in the top part of the trunk. Screw it to the top by removing the reck deck to get access to the holes. Good luck.
