back side windows fogging up

Hey, I just bought a 95 avalon and all the ac and defoogers work fine. But my back side windows are just horrible, I cant see anything sometimes . Is there anything I could do to fix that. Because I want to get a tint and that would only make the problem worse

Please help

Just a stab, but are you sure your recirculate button is off so you're getting in fresh air? Activate the recirc and fresh while you're sitting at idle with a higher fan speed, and make sure you can hear the fan sound change as the recirc door opens and closes. Another possibility is moisture inside the car from wet floors or seats.

Yeah that is common on the gen 1 avalons, I don't know about others. The same thing happens in my car. Theres nothign you can really do about it. Even if the recirculating fresh air is 'on', it'll only affect the front windows. The rear probable will clear up but much longer than the front.

If it really bothers you, here a tip:

1. don't use that Rain-X Defogger crap. Deosn't work and I think it actually makes things worst.

2. Clean your windows.
A.Get your hair shampoo.
B.Dab a little on a paper towel
C.Apply it liberally on the window.

The procedure works! Try it then breathe on it, if the weather is cold that is. The only problem to doing this is the streaks from wiping, its really hard to make the glass streak free. Not a big problem. (If the streaks really bother you, use newspaper instead of paper towel. The chemicals in the newspaper will adhere and remove streaks better.) But on a plus note, your car will smell clean and you can see.
