Overheating - Radiator cooling fan not working

Cooling fan doesn't seem to be coming on and engine is overheating in traffic. When Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch #1 is disconnected, the fans come on. It seems I need a new ECT #1. Anything wrong with my analysis? Toyota wants nearly $100 for this switch which is unbelievable. Any other reputable sources for this part at a more reasonable price? Thanks.

I'm having almost the same problem. I need help!
I'm getting over heating during traffic and the radiator fans are not turning on.
What can check to see if the fan are working? Or is it the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor not working?
Please help!?!?!?!?!
