i highly doubt they have tsb for the tranny..

i'm checking the tsb at alldata everyday.

I went to the dealer for 3 warranty services, (1) tranny (2) loosen fog light (3) bad odor from cat

the only tsb i have honored was the foglight loosen

tsb came from toyota

you will not find tsb in ur manual, it's something that toyota has to fix the problem that people complained to toyota but not to the recall level yet.

Tsb

You are correct. Trnny computer no alerts or misreads. Spoke with Service manager he stated the party line, I'm OK with this since driving it 5K. The foglights are being resecured with new painted housing. (TSB). The dealership checked my pedals for occasional vibration all secured and properly isolated. Also, Toyota uses Penzoil Synthetic...they told me I can bring my own for next services (Mobil one from Costco 26.00 case). I have been driving 2007 Camry 4 bangger is is nice with nice road feel but lots of noise from road, and can't compete with Av. size power, luxury, stereo, A/C, Total comfort. I am now pretty satisfied with the car in all respects since I came off a 98 BMW 5. I get better gas milage and more comfort and far better electronics than my German designed obsolescense....modules went every few months (service routinely 3-500 bucks per service visit, compared to my 141.00 for 5K service and Synthetic plus free rental car for 2 days...net say 70.00 bucks. I'll stick with my Toyota

Two questions:

1st: What is this fog light TSB? I have an 06 Av XLS and have noticed that the fog lights are not mounted in the most secure fashion. There is a slight movement if you jiggle them.

2nd: $141 for the 5k service? All this service entails is an oil change and a tire rotation. My dealer charges $49.95. I can't see spending $90 more for synthetic.

TSB BO007-06 Toyota has issued a modified fog light bracket for the 05-06 Avalon to address loose fog light complaints. Issued March '06.

Got the car back today. If I had BMW would have been hundreds for service. Yes I spent a little more for 1st service (124.00), but had Loaner 07 Camry for 2 days, new Fog light mounts (tsb), Tranny gone over with fine tooth comb..Now drives better, no corner slippage as before, Brakes adjusted, and Nice car wash with tires oiled. Next time I will bring my own Mobil1 (Costco 26.00 6 quarts). Car is far superior to 07 Camry I have been driving. By the way the service manager cam out and asked me about the BU camera as was very impressed. So for first service...2 days free rental car not BAD!!!!

interogation:
I know that the techs did a complete computer analysis of the car's computer software, probably reset the chip. I am unsure if they changed Tranny fluid. The car seems to do better on the lower speed shifting as around the corner accelerating. It does seem to be better. I am sure these guys did it right since I live next door to some one influential to the dealership, And they were well aware of this/ This is a good dealer in general.
