Illuminated Cup holder MOD for 05/06

1 OF 2
Hi guys i posted this thread as i promised

First of all I bought everything separately I bought the LED+ LED HOLDER+12V Resistor, 2 wires+Black tupe to shield the lines , Then i toke everything to electrical shop and they soldered everything to me as the pic shows :

REMAMBER THE LONGER LINE IN THE LED IS THE POSITIVE (RED WIRE) 12v and the shorter wire is the BLACK NEGATIVE GROUND WIRE.

Or you can go easier way is by getting a ready made LED Bulbs from Radio shack with builted in resistor they got orange , red , blue , green ! But i couldn't find any blue ones cuz they were out of stock

Anyway after you get the LED ready to install DOWNLOAD THIS PDF FILE IT SHOWS HOW TO TAKE THE DASH PEACES APART:

http://www.supracentral.com/hosted/zupra/illuminated%20cup%20holder/console_removal.pdf

Now what i did is after i removed the consol you must Drill or like me, Warm a Phillips screw driver and keep pushing until u drill a whole in the cup holder!
Hence: I used only ONE LED in my mod cuz one light can illuminate the whole cup holder!
Thanks for Toyota for the removable peace with the space inside the cup holder: D

Anyway ill continue tomorrow this mod cuz i need to take the dash apart again and tell you guys with which wires you hook up into ur leds

Stay tuned

Thanks for your description, now we know how to open the cup holder and what we need for the LED but we need to know how did you fix the LED from inside so that to not move and we need to know where did you get the supply for the LED.

Last question do you have any plan to add LED down the dash board and in the door lock area like Lexus Rx 330.

Hey Bahraini,

Did you ever post a thread detailing where you got your white lights from? I know you said that you would post one so I was wondering have you done it yet. Thanks
