97 Avalon Check Engine - p1410

I just received a 97 Avalon from my mom. Its got 140k miles on it, and its been in the family since it had 30k. Last night the check engine light came on and i had it read by autozone today and they said it was code p1410 auxiliary air cleaner inlet control circuit. i looked it up online and it said the code stood for EGR valve position sensor circuit malfunction. i cant come up with any more information than this and i really need to know what this means so i can fix it. it seems to run and drive fine, but im at a loss here as to what to do.
