First 97 Avalon, toyota for that matter, oil change coming
My plan for my new used 97 Avalon with 140K on it is to do three quick oil changes, then go to my usual 5000 mile change interval. I am also going to run a little sea foam in before each oil change--kind of a little sludge preventative maintainece.
My question is related to the oil filter, which could not be in a better place to remove. However, its at a slight angle towards the engine. Does this cause it to drain back into the engine, making the filter removal a clean process, or is this going to be one of the most messy oil change jobs I have ever done?
By the way, for the month of July (2006) you can get 5 wuarts of mobile clean 5000 and an stp oil filter for $9.00.
