1996 Avalon - Replacing Driver Side Door Handle

Does anyone here have any idea as to how I can reach and replace the drivers side door handle for a 1996 Avalon?

The door handle appears to be located behind a metal plate, which, even if I completely got the door panel off, I dont see myself being able to access without some serious disassembling.

Any ideas anyone?

you need to remove the strike plate assembly this is done by removing the three hex keys on the side of the door then pushing it down this will give you enough room to take out the screw for the door handle.
