1995 Avalon ABS Problem

we were fixing our axle this weekend and got it working, now the ABS light came on and I followed the guide on how to get the ABS error code, I got code 35 which is right front sensor I believe

So do i have to replace the sensor?
We believe it might be the wiring to the sensor, but it could be the sensor or both?

Can you guys help me please?

Code 35 I think is:

Open in left front or right rear wheel speed sensor circuit. Check speed sensor, sensor rotor, wiring harness and connector.

You might check all of the above for open circuits, loose wires, damage. Not sure how to test the speed sensor without an oscilloscope or special tool. It is a magnetic sensor. I suppose you could swap them out and see if the trouble code changes.

Chasing a similiar problem here.... can the wires be spliced, or does the entire run need replaced? Anyone with experience on this?

Thanks!

You should be able to splice the wires OK, make sure you get a good connection.

First make sure wires aren't pulled out of sensor. If they are replacement is eminent as they are molded in the housing. Suspension work does this a lot of times.
