95-99 Climate Control

My Mom has a wonderful 95 Avalon with the manual knob climate control. If I were to buy one of the automatic units off Ebay, would anyone know if it will work in her car? It looks like the automatic unit has the electronics built into it, but I dont know if there is anything else needed electronics-wise.

No doubt as the automatic system was an option it should drop into the car provided the year (generation) is the same. The key would be to get all of the system parts, as I recall the automatic has an outside and inside air temp sensor and more.

You best bet is find a service manual that has both systems. TN has access to online manuals but these appear to only back to 2000. Might download one anyway just to see what the differences could be.

I would make sure I had all the parts, etc before digging into the dashboard.
