Clearing DTC's for SRS - 1996 Avalon

LOL! While working on my cruise control issues, I managed to set a DTC for the SRS :-(

The DTC clearing procedure for the SRS in the svc manual (in the DI section) is not all that easy to understand.... I had to read thru it several times and for the life of me I could not get it to work! However, they do hint that it might have to be repeated several times to get it to finally clear. I can say Amen to that! I think has more to do with timing of the alternating grounding pattern than anything - but once you get that down pat - then it finally clears.

Whew!

Kudos to the poster of the Camry service manuals. They have been an invaluable resource.
I'm actually considering throwing away my Haynes Manual now ;-)

As I said, the procedure in the book for clearing SRS DTC's worked for me - eventually :-)
