Body Kit?

Trying to spark interest in this forum for a body kit... be it 1999 or 2007. If people would have interest than we'd have the selection that the Camry does.

except the kit you are sparking interest for wouldn't fit a 99. It would only fit 05+

I've done many searches for Avalon body kits. The only one I've seen is the one that is offered from Southeast Toyota Distributors... which is the ground effects kit they you see on some cars.

Nobody else is offering anything for the Avalon. Not for 1999... not for 2005... not for any of the years in between. You are keen to observe that I wasn't addressing his need directly... which is true. The reason we don't have body kits are pretty much demonstrated by this post. This same thread would not have flowed this way in a Lexus forum. It probably would have received responses like:

"Hey, that would look great on a 1999 also"

or maybe...

"Let's say we all get together and ask a distributor to make a kit... for a 1999... and a 2005"

The person who buys an Avalon (in general) tends to be satisfied with the vehicle... most Avalon owner are generally satisfied with the ride and won't do anything but change the oil and spark plugs. The person who buys a Lexus (in general) want to have all the goodies and extra stuff. That's why the Lexus vehicles have all kinds of aftermarket parts available... because they want that extra to make their car a little faster... a little more unique. The marketing people and manufacturers are well aware of this and thus we have no extra goodies.

I still love my Avie... and still like discussing Avalon issues with others.

Sorry MJSmith1208 for the confusion... I intended to address a larger issue... and the real issue that got left behind is your original question. So no, I don't think there are any kits out there for a 1999 Avy... at least to my knowledge which is self admittedly limited.

I can't make it any clearer than that. Hopefully this dead horse can be put to rest.

Awhile back, someone on here even posted all the part numbers needed to order this kit piece by piece. It was a real help and I hope it could be done again for the benefit of 2005-2007 Avalon owners.

ive seen that body kit on a few avalons down here in florida, i love the look, and would seriously consider one for my 98, but fat chance of them coming out with a body kit now for a 10 year old full sized sedan.

if you are looking for a body kit, you are probally going to have to do one custom, and hey, then you can sell copies off of your molds.......
