'96 Avalon 3-CD Changer Stuck -- Any Advice?

Hello All,

My '96 Avalon 3-CD changer is stuck in the eject position. To be more specific, it actually won't come out of the head unit, but it's not able to go back in either. Of course, I've pushed all the fuctions to get it to do something, but it's stuck. Is there an emergency release button or slot that I'm not aware of that will allow for the changer to disengage from the head unit?

Also, if this needs to be repaired beyond what I could do, does anyone have any service recommendations? I'm not sure if the cassette unit and CD changer unit are seperate, but it seems like they would be. Just wondering in case I have to remove the CD changer.

Had this vary same thing happen on same car/year. I would shop for a new CD player. The CD player may be built by Alpine, if so repairs are expensive and may be difficult to obtain.
