How do you get the soft codes to appear? My last car all you needed to do was turn the key to the on position 3 times, then the codes flashed on the display. Any help would be appreciated.

Around 1995 the cars became ODBII compliant, the hood may have a sticker stating this. If so, you will need a code reader for engine codes. AutoZone will read codes for free.
