considering 99 Avalon Part Out

I'm considering parting out the Avalon. She took a couple nasty hits in the last month. She is still drivable, but with the smashed up body, exhaust leaks, high idle, busted headlight, and wasted struts, I'm not really sure she is worth putting any money into and driving.

Anyone parted one out? Worth the time? I dont want it to sit in my garage for more than a week or two, but I also dont want to just junk a good running car, if I can get a few bucks for parts off it before I junk it. I don't want to make a killing, but would like some beer money for the next week or two

worth it?

Thanks,

Doug Palmer

I think you could probably sell a lot of parts on this forum alone. But you'd want to post it other places, too. And when you're all done you could probably still sell it to a salvage yard.

If you decide to part it out, please post as many details as you can here - mileage, interior/exterior colors, whats smashed and not for sale, etc. I'm pretty sure it shares a lot of parts with the Camry, so you could post in that forum, too.

I'd be interested in a drivers door panel if its in good shape and tan in color.

I did not want to actually post that I was parting out here, cause I have not 100% checked out the foum rules, but yes, at this point I am seriously considering parting out. It would have to be something along the lines of taking "orders" nthis and next week, then pulling it all apart next weekend (weekend of the 7th) and then haul it off.

It is a green 99 Avalon with Tan cloth interior. Power everything, cd player, I think all the standard stuff. no sunroof, steel wheels.

Passanger headlight, corner light and tail light are gone. Passanger fender is gone. Driver fender is smashed up, Struts are shot.

Driver headlight and (i think) tail light are ok. all the interior is good, just normal wear.

motor is 100%, everything works, suspension is fine.

PM me what you might be interested in, and I will decide based apon PMs I recieve by this weekend, if I want to part it out, or just sell it whole.

Located in South-western NH

Thanks

Doug
