Gen1 97 avalon timing belt

I've got an 97 avalon with 55,000 miles. I was wondering if the only consideration for timing belt change is milage (90k from what i understand) or does age play any part. My Avalon probably won't hit 90k miles for some years to come. Should I change my timing belts sooner considering the age of the car? Thanks.

Here is a link that can help you with timing belt replacement:

if going to a garage to change it

food for thought, next time first do a "Search This Forum" and you might find what you are looking for.

Good luck on the replacement! (I'll be heading that route this summer) if you are able to post some pics when changing the timing belt it would be great!
