96 keyless entry question

hello, i just got a used 96 avalon, and the keyless entry only locks and unlocks without any light or sound. Just wondering any body have the instruction how to make it sounds or lights?

no way to do it. our alarms are just old. if you want those features, get an aftermarket.

I know on my 97 XLS my running lights flash once when I lock it & twice when I unlock it.

Have the 97 XLS to and mine flashes once to lock and again to activate the alarm.
Have to press it twice to unlock all the doors and if you don`t open a door within 60sec.
it will lock itself back and activate the alarm. Found this out the hard way of course.
Most embarassing when your in a crowded parking lot.

95/96 don't have any confirmation you locked/unlocked your doors. unfortunate.

i'm pretty sure the press twice to unlock all doors is standard, even today. also, the locking after not opening the doors in time, although i believe it is 30 seconds.
